Produce Department Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Supervisor to join our team at M&A O'Connor Holdings Inc. As a key member of our retail store team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of our produce department.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities
- Supervise staff, including apprentices, stages hands, and design team members
- Assign sales workers to duties and tasks
- Ensure the produce department is operating efficiently and effectively
- Inventory Management
- Organize and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand
- Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking
- Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer complaints and issues
- Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Team Leadership
- Lead and motivate a team of sales workers and staff
- Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity
- Merchandising and Visual Displays
- Design and implement visually appealing displays and merchandising strategies
- Ensure displays and merchandising are aligned with company standards and goals
- Area of Specialization
- Produce retail store operations
- Produce merchandising and visual displays
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
- Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Handle heavy loads and work in a standing position for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail required
- Personal Suitability
- Accurate and efficient interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral communication and client focus
- Flexibility, reliability, and dependability required
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail store environment
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
