The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a seasoned financial professional to fill the role of Director, Asset Management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial operations and leadership skills to drive success within our organization.
Role OverviewThis key position plays a vital part in setting the strategic direction for the delivery of asset management services across government. As Director, you will be responsible for leading a team in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and systems that support the effective management of assets.
Reporting to the Executive Director, you will work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Your leadership and technical expertise will enable you to navigate complex financial situations and provide sound advice to senior executives.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize asset utilization and minimize costs;
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements;
- Analyze financial data to inform business decisions;
- Maintain relationships with external partners and vendors.
Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively engage with diverse groups, build strong relationships, and foster a collaborative work environment.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field;
- Proven experience in financial operations, preferably in a government or public sector context;
- Excellent leadership and communication skills;
- A strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
