Job Description:

The Community Cancer Services Nurse will provide, coordinate, and implement nursing care to Ambulatory Care Clinic patients, including patient assessment, patient/family teaching, chemotherapy administration, provision of health promotion information, and navigation support to patients/family with cancer. The CCSN will work closely with hospital, community, regional, and provincial team members to plan, implement, deliver, and evaluate systemic therapy and ambulatory care clinic services.

Requirements:

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Chemotherapy certification
  • Post-basic course in oncology nursing
  • Three (3) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, arrange priorities, and organize
  • Ability to work with others effectively
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts

Estimated Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
