Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in Primary Care. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work under the direction of the Unit/Program Manager to provide compassionate patient care and deliver high-quality nursing services. Your duties will include performing assessments, planning and implementing care plans, and providing personal care to patients. You will also be responsible for administering medications and operating related equipment, as well as maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with colleagues and patients.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have a passion for nursing and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Key skills and qualifications include:
• Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant;
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with residents, families, co-workers, members of the multidisciplinary team, and the public;
• Ability to deal with others effectively and maintain a positive working relationship;
• Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care;
• Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice as currently required by the BCCNM, including administering medications;
• Ability to operate related equipment;
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
