Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting inspections of audit firms in accordance with our inspection methodology
  • Maintaining control of assigned inspection work, including meeting deadlines and conducting inspections efficiently
  • Fostering professional, productive, and respectful working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Preparing high-quality written reports
  • Participating in inspection projects aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of our inspection processes
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement and thought leadership initiatives

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years progressive public company accounting and audit experience at a Big Four or other national accounting firm
  • CPA designation is required
  • In-depth technical knowledge of IFRS and Canadian Auditing Standards; US GAAP is also an asset
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to travel, approximately up to 6 weeks per year
