About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Sushi Day. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for planning menus, preparing and cooking meals, and supervising kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare menus, estimating food requirements for their realization
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment
  • Recruit and hire staff, as needed, to support the growth and success of our kitchen team
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed
