Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker to join our team at S&A Partnership. As a Personal Support Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to adults in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to adults in their homes, including assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
  • Provide companionship and social support to adults, engaging in activities such as conversation, reading, and watching movies.
  • Assist with pet care, including feeding, walking, and providing fresh water.
  • Manage home care cases, including scheduling appointments, managing medication, and coordinating with healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Work Environment:

Our team members work in a non-smoking environment, providing care and support to adults in their homes. We offer a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Language:

English is the primary language spoken in this role.

Hours:

37.5 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
