Senior Transmission Line Estimator

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Transmission Line Estimator to join our team at Michels Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling accurate and well-organized estimates for power transmission and distribution projects.
About You:
- You have a minimum of 3 years of experience estimating overhead or underground power transmission & distribution, and substation projects in Canada.
- A post-secondary degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, ASCT., Business, or a Journeyman Trade Certification in combination with experience in a related field is an asset.
- You possess excellent negotiation skills and are proficient with Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, Bluebeam, and Adobe. Experience with HCSS Estimating Software is also preferred.
- As a strong communicator, you are organized and able to effectively communicate your ideas both verbally and in writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers.
- Analyze drawings and specifications for power transmission and distribution projects.
- Create and issue request for quotes or subcontractor proposal requests documents.
- Assist in creating preliminary budgets for successful tender projects.
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year
