Job Title: Bakery Specialist

AMAZING BAKERY is seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough and batters for a range of baked goods, including bread, rolls, muffins, and cakes.
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters to produce high-quality baked goods.
  • Prepare special orders and decorate cakes and baked goods as required.
  • Draw up production schedules to ensure efficient and timely production.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Reliability and ability to work as part of a team.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Work in a fast-paced bakery environment with tight deadlines.
  • Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Work in a physically demanding environment with manual dexterity required.
