Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Administrator to join our team at Park Lawn Corporation. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial support and services to our customers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track and record customer service status
  • Prepare final invoices for funeral directors
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and work with collection agencies when required
  • Prepare or initiate client letters relating to account status
  • Maintain and archive client files
  • Liaise with funding companies regarding client payouts
  • Accept and record customer payments
  • Make weekly bank deposits
  • Process monthly payment plan payments
  • Prepare disbursement checks as required
  • Track and record unearned revenue for month end
  • Maintain pre-paid contract ledger and assist sales staff with client paperwork
  • Provide insight and suggest ways to improve AR processes
Requirements
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in accounting, finance, or related business program
  • 6 months to 1 year work experience in a professional setting
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Knowledge of Sage considered a strong asset
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills coupled with strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
