Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at ORBCOMM. This role will provide strategic counsel on employee engagement, workforce planning and optimization, and the development of programs that improve the attraction and retention of top talent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders as a thought partner to develop and implement effective HR strategies and practices that support the strategic growth of the business.
  • Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy.
  • Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development.
  • Collaborate and partner with the HR team in the continual development of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top results.
  • Develop and lead people strategies and approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to work on value-added programs in training, development, career mobility, and job performance.
  • Support and act to foster a diverse culture that promotes inclusion and belonging.

Requirements:

  • Strong business acumen and a proven ability to provide strategic solutions that align with overall company objectives.
  • Proven track record of driving workforce transformation and optimization.
  • 7+ years of Human Resources experience at a business partner level, ideally in a global high-tech environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles and best practices.
  • Highly analytical and able to think conceptually, analyze data, and effectively communicate trends.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize HR responsibilities.
  • Proven record of successfully implementing and executing impactful programs.
  • Service-oriented and capable of communicating with employees at all levels.
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word.
  • Proficiency in HRIS Systems.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration.
