About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Education Assistant to join our team at the Catholic Independent Schools of Vancouver Archdiocese. As an Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs in a faith-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students to maximize participation and learning in an inclusive environment
  • Supplement and extend the instructional and management functions of teachers and other professional personnel
  • Assist teachers in designing and implementing individualized or group communication skills, behavioural support, learning support or life skills
  • Assist in the collection of data, including observations and recording of academic and behavioural progress
  • Attend to and provide personal care as required
  • Interact with students in a professional and effective manner
  • Participate in school-based team meetings and IEP meetings as required
Requirements
  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • EA certification
  • Current first aid course
  • Experience working with students and/or adults with exceptionalities
