Job Summary

Aritzia is seeking a Senior API Developer, eCommerce Technology to join our Platform Engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable, secure, reliable distributed services that power eCommerce and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop APIs and backend functionality required to service requests.
  • Partner with Enterprise Cloud Engineering & DevSecOps teams to adhere to enterprise standards.
  • Support with ensuring all APIs developed adhere to enterprise API standards.
  • Work with QA team to define test approach and implement structured testing.
  • Minimize the impact of disruptions within features and identify and address underlying issues.

Requirements

  • Proven skills in JavaScript, Typescript, Java.
  • Basic understanding of React & ReactNative and how applications designed using these frameworks ingest APIs.
  • Experience with designing & developing scalable, secure, reliable distributed services.
  • Understanding of distributed caching and comfortable in using products like Redis.
  • Willingness to learn products within enterprise platforms to build integrations.
  • Leadership skills to coach and mentor junior members of the team.
