Densitas Inc is seeking a highly skilled IT professional to lead the company's IT and Information Security functions. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working in the MedTech or another highly regulated industry and possess a strong technical background combined with exceptional leadership and analytical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure (70%):

  1. Lead the qualification, change management, and installation of IT systems and equipment to ensure efficient and secure operation.
  2. Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and communication systems, to optimize performance and ensure data governance compliance.
  3. Manage user/group access permissions across IT systems, including onboarding, role transitions, and offboarding.
  4. Own and maintain IT asset lists to ensure accurate tracking and management.
  5. Administer and maintain network management and monitoring software, firewalls, collaboration software, management systems, domains, version control systems, password managers, issue management software, cloud productivity suites, virtual machines, EDR, MDM, and other IT systems.
  6. Procure, configure, and manage company laptops, cables, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and security.
  7. Manage and maintain licenses for software and cloud services to ensure compliance and minimize costs.
  8. Manage and participate in risk assessments for IT vendors, including backup services, security training, and hardware procurement.
  9. Manage and maintain the organization's third-party cloud infrastructure, including architecture planning, scaling, cost optimization, and security compliance.
  10. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve IT issues in a timely manner to minimize disruption to internal teams.
  11. Prepare and manage the IT team's budget to ensure efficient resource allocation.
  12. Create and maintain VPN connections with remote sites to ensure secure access.
  13. Manage Virtual Machines for in-house and customer systems on VMware, Azure, and AWS hosting.

Information Security (30%):

  1. Monitor and action alerts/findings from EDR, penetration testing, and vulnerability testing to ensure timely response and mitigation.
  2. Keep management informed of critical vulnerabilities, threats, resource needs, and the overall health of the company's systems.
  3. Draft, evolve, maintain, and test IT/security standard operating procedures (SOPs), plans, risk registers, the BCDR, and customer-facing IT/security materials.
  4. Establish and implement automated methods for performing system activity reviews and related capabilities.
  5. Prepare responses for customer security reviews (technical, physical).
  6. Manage email, spam, and security configurations (DMARC, DKIM, SPF setup and monitoring).
  7. Perform periodic physical walk-throughs to monitor the company's conformance with physical security measures.
  8. Enact and maintain the company's cabling security policy.
  9. Issue, track, and maintain keys, badges, etc.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in IT management within a highly regulated industry (5+ years).
  3. Experience managing, evolving, and maintaining third-party cloud infrastructure.
  4. Experience in IT management within an ISO 27001 certified information security management system (Desired).

Essential Skills:

  1. Expertise in Linux systems administration: provisioning, configuration, backup, and procurement.
  2. Expertise in Virtual Machine hypervisor administration.
  3. Expertise in managing third-party cloud infrastructure, including architecture planning, scaling, cost optimization, and ensuring security compliance in cloud environments.
  4. Proven ability to develop, maintain, and test business continuity and disaster recovery plans to minimize disruption during system outages or cyberattacks.
  5. Strong experience managing IT vendors, including service-level agreements (SLAs) for backup services, security training, and hardware procurement. Ability to maintain asset inventories for company equipment (laptops, servers, switches, etc.).
  6. Expertise in managing secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) accounts and configuring user/group access permissions across IT systems, including onboarding, role transitions, and offboarding.
  7. Expertise in administering firewall systems and setting up secure VPN connections, including site-to-site VPNs for remote access and customer environments.
  8. Experience managing cloud productivity suites, including user accounts, permissions, and security configurations for tools like email, collaboration, and document management.

Desirable Skills:

  1. Knowledge of using endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems, monitoring alerts, managing false positives, and implementing security updates to mitigate threats.
  2. Experience managing version control systems and integrating them with project management tools.
  3. Experience procuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting physical IT hardware, including servers, UPS systems, and networking equipment.
  4. Experience drafting and maintaining IT and security policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance documentation, particularly related to industry standards like ISO 27001.
  5. Familiarity with establishing and implementing automated methods for performing system activity reviews and related capabilities.

  5. Demonstrates agility in troubleshooting IT issues, optimizing cloud infrastructure, and resolving security vulnerabilities in dynamic environments.
  6. Upholds confidentiality, regulatory compliance, and ethical standards, especially when managing sensitive data, incidents, and IT systems in a highly regulated industry.
