We are seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients and residents in various settings.
About the JobThe successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including community centers, hospitals, and clients' homes. You will be responsible for assisting patients and residents with activities of daily living, providing direct care, and promoting independence within established standards of care.
Responsibilities- Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Provide direct care and support to patients and residents, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs.
- Maintain patient and resident records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement personalized care plans.
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards.
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course.
- Experience providing care to individuals with physical or cognitive impairments is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking skills and prioritize tasks.
The estimated salary for this position is between $20.09 and $23.99 per hour, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
