Head Chef

Culinary Expertise: We seek a highly skilled and organized Head Chef to join our team at Khan's BBQ & Pizza Place Inc. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing kitchen operations, training staff, and maintaining high-quality food standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Co-ordinate special events
* Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
* Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
* Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
* Inspect kitchens and food service areas
* Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
* Order supplies and equipment
* Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
* Manage kitchen operations

Experience:

* 7 months to less than 1 year

Support for Indigenous People:

* Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
* Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
* Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations
* Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
* Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
