The Production Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our mattress manufacturing facility in Toronto, ensuring compliance with quality standards and production schedules while maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Plan, organize, and manage the overall production process, including resource allocation and machinery usage to maximize efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Oversee recruitment, training, and development of production staff to build a high-performing team and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Develop and implement safety policies and practices to minimize workplace hazards and comply with local and federal regulations.
- Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination: Ensure efficient management of inventory and raw materials, coordinating with purchasing and supply chain teams to prevent shortages and delays.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant management role, preferably within the mattress industry. Strong understanding of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality management systems.
