Job Description

Imperva, a leading provider of data security solutions, is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to lead product development for our Data Security product. The role is based in Vancouver, Canada, and offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation and growth in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

This position will be responsible for leading the product development teams in Vancouver, consisting of highly skilled engineers. You will provide high-level guidance and support to promote an innovative and challenging work environment that can execute both independently and collaboratively to deliver results.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead product development teams in Vancouver, providing high-level guidance and support to promote an innovative and challenging work environment.
  • Work with business stakeholders and development teams to scope and plan key deliverables, ensuring successful delivery.
  • Optimize organizational structure for fast and reliable deliveries, creating a collaborative culture and environment between Vancouver and global offices.
  • Own technical output of the Sonar team, ensuring high technical standards by implementing processes and strengthening department culture.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Success in an agile environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development.
  • Deep domain knowledge and hands-on capabilities in at least one of the following areas: cloud environments, web applications, databases, networking, application/network/data, ML/AI, security, SaaS.
  • Experience in developing cloud-native solutions and good understanding of public cloud services.
  • Excellent leadership, collaborative management practices, communication, and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Foster team culture and practice of mentorship and collaboration.
What We Offer

A competitive compensation package including base salary, medical benefits, flexible time off, salary continuance for adoption or birth of a child, and more. The estimated annual base salary range for this position is CAD $232,000 – $290,000, determined based on experience, knowledge, skills, other qualifications, and location.
