Support Substitute Learning Assistant

Rocky View Schools is seeking a Support Substitute (Learning Assistant) to join our team on a casual, on-call basis. As a Support Substitute, you will provide support to students in various educational settings, working closely with teachers and other educational professionals to create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with extreme and complex behavioral and emotional needs
- Assist students with individualized programming plans (IPP), including personal care, toileting, and feeding
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
- Establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
- Education Assistant Certificate or enrolled in an education assistant program
- Training in preventative/de-escalating behavior course or willingness to become certified
- Experience working with students with diverse needs in an educational setting
- Competitive hourly rate of $22.19
