We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Parliamentary Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about politics and public service.

About the Role

As a Parliamentary Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our Member of Parliament, assisting with tasks such as research, correspondence, and event planning. You will also have the opportunity to work on various projects related to Canadian politics and parliamentary services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Member of Parliament, including managing schedules, coordinating events, and preparing documents.
  • Conduct research on various topics related to Canadian politics and parliamentary services.
  • Assist with correspondence, including responding to emails and letters, and drafting reports.
  • Attend meetings and take notes on behalf of the Member of Parliament.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Fluency in both English and French (written and spoken).
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
  • A strong understanding of Canadian politics and parliamentary services.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

In addition to your salary, you can expect to earn a total compensation package of approximately $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
