Job Summary:

The Radiology Department Manager at Watson Clinic is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring the efficient delivery of radiological services to patients. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to coordinate patient flow and schedule support staff effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the daily operations of the radiology department, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and accreditation standards.
  • Coordinate patient flow and schedule support staff to ensure efficient delivery of radiological services.
  • Direct quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring that standards are maintained according to department protocol.
  • Maintain effective communication with radiology director, manager, and other lead technologists.
  • Stay up-to-date with current developments and advancements in radiology, ensuring a thorough working knowledge of equipment operation and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and certification standards, overseeing all aspects of the radiology department.
  • Promote department and Clinic policies and procedures, ensuring staff compliance.
  • Develop and implement new or revised section policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, evaluate, and train staff as required, ensuring a skilled and effective team.
  • Counsel support staff effectively, adhering to Clinic corrective action policy.
  • Maintain a professional and positive demeanor, even in times of stress.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in healthcare education, college courses, or workshops in management or human relations preferred.
  • Registered in a related specialty preferred.
  • ARRT Certification and current certification with the State of Florida Radiation Control (HRS) required.
  • CPR certification required.
