Leadership Role in a Manufacturing Company
Standard Manufacturers Services Limited has been serving leading North American manufacturers in the agriculture, rail, transportation, and industrial sectors since 1982. We have consistently ranked as a Top Tier Supplier and have recently added new major North American OEMs in the marine, industrial, and drivetrain sectors to our customer base.
We are embarking on our next level of growth and have an immediate need for a leader to join our company as a Foundry Supervisor. Our 100,000 square foot facility currently houses 9 pouring lines, 2 heat treating lines, and 22 machining centers.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing or foundry operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role. They will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining foundry equipment and tools to ensure precise pouring operations.
The successful candidate will also contribute to pre-shift standup meetings, identify training needs, and coordinate cross-training programs within the department. They will manage the department to ensure safety, quality, production, and efficiency are on target.
The Foundry Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring quality parts are produced, monitoring production, efficiencies, and in-process inspections. They will also support and contribute to improvements and department initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, proficiency in quality control and inspection procedures, and experience with Lean and 5S. They will also be familiar with health and safety regulations and able to enforce them in the workplace.
