Job Summary

The Installation Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing installations of all car wash projects in Ontario. This role works closely with various stakeholders, including customers, equipment installation employees, internal sales, and the operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Site Liaison and Technical Leadership
  2. Participate in site visits and provide quotes for potential installation projects
  3. Offer technical guidance and recommendations to internal team members and customers regarding equipment selection
  4. Supervise and coordinate service technicians assigned to installations
  5. Provide onsite support for service and warranty issues related to Transchem-supplied equipment
  6. Develop and maintain project schedules and progress updates as required
  7. Coordinate with customers, subtrades, and vendors on pre-planning, layout, and scheduling for car wash projects
  8. Utilize internal software systems to manage projects
  9. Perform other duties related to sales and installation of tunnel car washes

Requirements

  1. 3 years of direct experience in field, construction, or mechanical project management
  2. Experience in the car wash industry or related fields, such as automotive equipment or services, chemical supplies, or components, is an asset
  3. Preferred candidates have a PMP Certification or a related business diploma
  4. Related certifications or licenses in trades are an asset

Preferred Skills

  1. Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of equipment layout, technical drawings, and blueprints
  2. Previous experience in assembly, alignment, rigging, lifting, welding, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of car wash systems
  3. Understanding of electrical theory and ability to install and troubleshoot low-voltage control systems
  4. Ability to guide installation crews, supervise, and meet health and safety guidelines
  5. Strong communication and leadership skills to build relationships with customers and stakeholders

This role is based in Cambridge, Ontario, and involves hybrid work arrangements with 50% travel required.
