We are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team at Meritas Recruiting Inc. in downtown Calgary. This new opportunity has opened due to internal promotions and team movements.

The role involves external financial reporting, financial accounting, internal controls, research, and interactions with external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing external reporting requirements, such as financial statements and annual information forms
  • Handling monthly internal reporting and analyzing IFRS
  • Conducting complex calculations and addressing accounting issues
  • Collaborating with auditors and managing ad hoc projects

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and CPA designation required
  • Two to five years of post-designation experience
  • Direct financial reporting experience in the upstream oil and gas industry preferred
  • Proficiency in IFRS and public company reporting
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
