About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Food and Beverage to join our team at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. As a key member of our Planning Committee, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic and operational direction of our Food and Beverage Division.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Management: Provide visionary leadership and management to the Food and Beverage Division, driving growth and profitability through effective planning, budgeting, and decision-making.
  2. Team Development: Develop and manage a high-performing team of Food and Beverage professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  3. Operational Excellence: Ensure seamless execution of Food and Beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, lounges, banqueting, room service, and stewarding, through effective planning, coordination, and control.
  4. Financial Management: Develop and manage annual budgets, control labor and operating expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
  5. Guest Experience: Ensure that our guests receive the highest level of food quality and service, through effective training, coaching, and feedback.
  6. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, industry partners, and stakeholders, to drive business growth and opportunities.
  7. Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
  1. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in Food and Beverage management, preferably in a luxury hospitality environment.
  2. Education: A hospitality management degree or equivalent experience.
  3. Skills: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a strong command of the English language. Ability to operate computer equipment and other Food and Beverage operational systems.
  4. Travel: Some travel may be required, as part of this role.
