Artisan Painter

We are seeking an Artisan Painter to join our team at M&L Painting Ltd. This is a permanent position with 40 hours of work per week.

• Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted;
• Repair cracks and holes;
• Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging;
• Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.

• Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees by facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.;
• Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster;
• Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition;
• Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees;
• Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.

• Offer mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers;
• Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations;
• Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers;
• Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.

This role comes with a competitive salary of $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a salary, we also offer a range of benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
