We are seeking a skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 118th Avenue Holdings Ltd. o/a New York Fries. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and establish methods to meet work schedules.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customers' complaints or concerns, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
  • Staff Management: Hire food service staff, prepare and submit reports, and supervise and check assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.

  • Team Player: We are looking for a team player who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and support the integration of newcomers and refugees into our team.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees
  • Settlement Support: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees, such as housing, transportation, and childcare.
  • Social and Labour Market Integration: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
Support for Indigenous People
  • Cultural Competency: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations, and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
