About the Role

At Danny Fliker, we are seeking a reliable and experienced Home Childcare Provider to join our team. As a key member of our family-focused organization, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care and support to children in a loving home environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all family members.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, as well as laundry services to maintain a clean and organized home.
  • Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, while also supervising their activities and providing emotional support.
  • Tend to the daily needs of children, including transportation to school and appointments, as well as organizing fun activities and outings.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, with at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in childcare or a related field.
  • Candidates must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • A criminal record check is mandatory for this position.
Benefits
  • We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Optional accommodation is available on a live-in basis, subject to agreement.
  • Danny Fliker provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth, and facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
