Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Clerk to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our office, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operations of our accounting systems.
Responsibilities- Process and manage accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and payments.
- Handle and record vendor invoices into the sales and accounting platforms.
- Check customer invoices against purchase orders, quotes, pricing agreements, and shipping documents.
- Maintain records of purchase orders and track product freight.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions at month end.
- Report on accruals for unbilled sales and unpaid invoices.
- Resolve issues or discrepancies with vendors, customers, and the sales team.
- Prepare and process customer and vendor paperwork.
- Organize and manage physical and digital filing systems.
- Extract and prepare data for various reports.
- Issue customer invoices daily.
- Receive, record, and apply customer payments.
- Distribute internal communications and reports.
- Support other office staff with administrative tasks.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably with a focus on accounts payable and receivable.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Great Plains accounting software.
- Competitive salary range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
