Financial Analyst

At Heritage Co-op, we are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team in Minnedosa, MB. The successful candidate will assist in the accounting and audit functions of the organization, working closely with the Finance Managers and Team Members to ensure all financial matters are supported.

The Accountant will be responsible for:

• Financial Reports - preparation and analysis of period end statements/sales reports
• Inventory - calculation and review of inventory prepared by the departments
• Margins - complete monthly investigation of margins
• Fixed Assets - controls and analysis
• General Ledger - reconciliation of accounts ensuring proper support and clearance
• Administration - provide support ensuring period end processes are complete
• Annual Budgets - assist with the department and divisional budget process
• Year End - preparation and related tasks to assist with internal and external audit

About You

• You have post-secondary education in Accounting, Commerce or Business
• You have relevant accounting experience
• Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is considered an asset
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with QuickBooks is considered an asset
