SAP IT Compliance Specialist

We are looking for an SAP IT Compliance Specialist who will assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of access-related IT General Controls across the organization. This role will operate as an SAP SOX compliance SME, bringing value-added insight to the team and supporting the continued enhancement of the SOX compliance program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of access-related IT General Controls, including planning, documentation, and execution.
  • Partner with the BRP internal controls team to build and maintain/enhance internal control documentation, including process flow diagrams, process narratives, and design and operating effectiveness of testing results.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and appropriately referenced work papers to document test procedures performed and conclusions.
  • Monitor remediation of identified control deficiencies and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans and recommendations, with follow up and support for resolutions.
  • Review and support process and control owners to implement best practices and improve control efficiency.
  • Develop value-added, interactive reports that clearly communicate outcomes of design and effectiveness testing and drive remediation efforts by process and control owners.
  • Respond to external auditors on IT General Control-related matters.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of IT General Control experience in an SAP Environment (ECC, S4 HANA, BW, GRC).
  • Big4 experience is highly desirable.
  • Good knowledge of US and Canadian regulatory requirements related to IT General Controls.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork skills, and a desire to work in a high-performing team.
  • A professional accounting designation (CPA and CISA) is highly desirable.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to speak candidly to business regarding issues identified during the ITGC testing process.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to build strong relationships within the team as well as the business.
  • Knowledge of the Google Suite of Products (Gmail, Sheets, Meets, Chat).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is a must, and French is highly desirable.
