Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified Academic Instructor in Creative Writing to join our team at the University of Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of creative exercises across different genres of literary writing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver course content for a university credit course
- Develop, administer, and mark assignments, tests, and exams
- Calculate and submit grades
- Hold regular office hours
- Supervise TAs assigned to the course, if applicable
Requirements:
- MFA or PhD in literature, or significant publication record combined with experience teaching creative writing at the university level
- Demonstrated teaching ability in creative writing
- Strong record of publication as a creative writer
