Human Resources Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Human Resources Manager at CB Canada. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for delivering effective HR Management practices and managing established company-wide human resources/talent management programs. You will ensure adherence to our policies and procedures, motivate and lead by example, and support our learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership, direction, mentoring, performance objectives and delivery of performance evaluations for the HR team and implements HR strategic plans as directed
- Provides HR advice and support to managers and team members
- Manages programs such as OH&S, recruitment, attendance, on-site orientations, etc.
- Manages the Leave of Absence files (MLOA, LTD, bereavement, maternity etc.) including return to work program and processes
- Leads investigations into team member Relations matters
- Supports and coaches Management through effective involuntary termination processes
- Facilitates coaching sessions, provides input for conflict resolution
- Assists with training implementations and deliveries
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: Senior Management, Management and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Manages other initiatives as required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma; post secondary education in HR or a suitable combination of education and experience
- HR Designation an asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources; 3 years in management
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Computer literacy in MS Office and JDE; HRIS experience an asset
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
Work Environment:
Regular office and casino environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances, some travel may be required
