About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at Redwood Residence Ltd.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional personal care to our residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as serving meal trays, feeding patients, and making beds.
  • Support residents with mobility issues, including weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients.
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Supervise exercise routines and maintain inventory of supplies.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience an asset.
  • First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Excellent oral communication, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, judgement, reliability, and patience.
Work Environment

This role is based in a rural area, with a nursing home/home for the aged setting.

What We Offer

We offer a permanent position with 30 to 40 hours per week, in a dynamic and supportive work environment.
