Job Summary

Milltown Trucking Co Ltd is seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring that all cargo and vehicle information is accurately recorded.
  • Record Vehicle Information: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as required.
  • Ensure Cargo Security: Tarp and secure cargo to ensure safety and security during transport.
Requirements
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in long-haul trucking.
  • Certifications: Possess a valid driver's abstract and have passed a criminal record check and drug test.
