Heavy Duty Hydrovac Equipment Operator

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Hydrovac Equipment Operator to join our team at L.A. Power Systems Ltd./Drain Master.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will operate heavy duty hydrovac equipment in various environments, ensuring efficient and safe operations. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Operate hydrovac trucks, stone slingers, and other specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections, ensure all aspects of vehicle are in good working condition, and report any issues to management.
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch, relay information, and record cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Dig ditches, trenches, and expose gas lines as required.
- Implement records scheduling and disposal plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including accident reports, inspection reports, and maintenance records.
- Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- 3 years of experience operating heavy duty hydrovac equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in dusty environments and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
