Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Collection Supervisor to join our team at JACK FILLED FOREIGN EXCHANGE INC. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our collection activities.

About the Role
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections and experience managing teams.
  • You will be responsible for training workers in duties and policies, preparing and submitting reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.
  • In addition, you will co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments, establish work schedules and procedures, and requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Train and supervise a team of collectors to ensure they are equipped to handle their duties effectively.
  2. Prepare and submit regular reports on collection activity, highlighting any trends or issues that may impact our business.
  3. Ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions related to collections, including processing payments and reconciliations.
  4. Co-ordinate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  5. Establish and maintain efficient work schedules and procedures to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  6. Requisition or order necessary materials, equipment and supplies to support collection activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration or finance.
  • At least 7 months of experience in collections, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with Quick Books and Simply Accounting is an asset.
