Position Summary
We're seeking an experienced Conversion Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our System Conversions team, you'll be responsible for the successful go-live of our clients' systems, communicating directly with clients and coordinating internal resources to ensure a smooth transition. You'll use your knowledge of our processes and procedures to assist with data validation, research and identify issues, and participate in problem-solving. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is committed to providing high-quality system conversions while meeting tight deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Client interactions: setting expectations, providing training, processing payrolls, issue resolution, and information gathering.
  2. Partner with internal partners on system requirements, providing input on unique client complexities and incomplete setup.
  3. Familiarization with current client design in prior system, ensuring new system meets client needs and providing 'what to expect now' scenarios where sizable differences are identified.
  4. Assist clients with initial payroll processing on the new system, ensuring 'clean' payrolls are processed prior to transition to service.
  5. Provide clients with system-level training and user access.
  6. Monitor email communications in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Provide accurate updates regarding client conversion status, raising and documenting risks or barriers to go-live.
  8. Track outstanding client-level issues and ensure resolution.
  9. Participation in process improvement initiatives.
  10. Documentation of identified issues, with necessary follow-up to ensure positive resolution.
  11. Accountability for an assigned grouping of clients, successfully managing their conversion to go-live process.
  12. Participation in analysis gathering sessions, interacting with other departments and clients as needed.
  13. Constantly learning and increasing knowledge and skills of our systems, processes, and industry.
  14. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  1. Excel knowledge.
  2. Able to effectively manage multiple projects and attend to daily client matters while maintaining focus and follow-through on issues until resolved and delivering results.
  3. Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal effectiveness at all levels in the organization and across cultures.
  4. Strong organization skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  5. Works independently and is self-motivated.
  6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  7. Experience administering or processing Benefits, Payroll, or Tax.
  8. Embraces changes and contributes to new initiatives.
  9. Must be able to meet deadlines for multiple concurrent projects.
  10. Excellent client-facing skills, including de-escalation.
  11. Ability to build and manage relationships in a cross-functional environment.
Education & Experience
  1. year payroll processing or benefits administration experience required.
  2. Previous tax experience preferred.
  3. Payroll experience preferred.
  4. Intermediate to strong skills in Excel.
  5. Prior experience in a system conversion or implementation department preferred.
  6. Experience with payroll software/applications preferred.
  7. Proficient with MS Office suite.
  8. Ability to type WPM.
