Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Flooring Specialist to join our team at Home Hardware. As a key member of our sales floor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, working with clients to understand their flooring needs, and helping them find the perfect products for their homes.

• This is a full-time permanent position, requiring 80 hours of work per bi-weekly pay period.
• The ideal candidate will have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and less than one year of experience in the field, or equivalent experience.
• You will be working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and meeting tight deadlines.

• Provide expert advice to customers on flooring options, ensuring they make informed purchasing decisions.
• Operate computerized inventory record-keeping and re-ordering systems to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer experiences.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for this role.
• You must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods, as well as bend, crouch, and kneel when necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 and $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
