Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to join our team at Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in Oakville, Canada.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annumAbout the Role

The successful candidate will assist the Regional Controller and CFO with financial affairs, manage General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, and Credit functions, generate financial reporting, and oversee the accounting department.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement an organizational structure for the accounting department.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements.
  • Maintain controls over accounting transactions.
  • Calculate and issue financial metrics.
  • Assist with annual budget and forecasts.
  • Report variances from the budget to management.
  • Provide management cost reports.
  • Conduct financial analyses for capital investments and pricing decisions.
  • Coordinate information for external auditors.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Lead direct reports and communicate effectively with senior management and business units.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
  • MBA in accounting or business administration preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a major company or division of a large corporation.
  • Big 4 experience preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
