Health Careers in Sask is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Critical Care Transport Specialist. As an essential member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing pre-hospital care for patients, utilizing your expertise to assess, provide care, transfer, and transport patients to medical facilities.

About the Position

This Casual opportunity is based at St. Peter's Hospital - SHA in Melville, SK. The successful candidate will work as part of the Ambulance - Land department, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care in a timely manner.

Job Summary

The Critical Care Transport Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care services, adhering to established protocols and procedures. This involves assessing patients' conditions, administering appropriate treatments, and communicating effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide pre-hospital care services to patients, including assessment, treatment, and transportation to medical facilities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A valid Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certificate.
  • A Grade 10 education.
  • A valid Class 4 driver's license.
  • CPR Level C Certificate and First Aid Certification.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural setting.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $22.600 to $24.210 per hour, paid on a step-based system. This hourly rate reflects the required qualifications, experience, and location of the position.
