Job Overview:

At Condair USA/CA, we are seeking a skilled HVAC Systems Specialist to join our team. This is a dynamic role that requires strong technical expertise and attention to detail.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, assemble, test, and troubleshoot HVAC systems and devices as instructed by management. The successful candidate will have experience with mechanical HVAC structural and architectural disciplines and be able to read and work from engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, fit, and install prefabricated parts and sub-assemblies to form completed systems.
  • Read and work from engineering drawings and schematics to determine assembly procedures.
  • Use hand and power tools as well as material handling equipment to fit and install parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Complete tasks on schedule and according to established quality standards.
  • Work effectively in a team with other technicians to achieve production and quality goals.
  • Adhere to Condair's Quality Assurance System and Health and Safety policies.
  • Set up units in the test line for testing and perform functional testing per part-specific pre-established test procedure.
  • Monitor tests through completion, record test data into FTPY, and troubleshoot as required.
  • Conduct quality inspections on processed parts in accordance with quality specifications.
  • Demonstrate proper use of mechanical measuring devices like Multimeter, Flow Meter, Caliper, Hi-Pot tester, Manometer, Gas Leak Detector, and Flue Gas Analyzer.
  • Understand and use computer tools such as SAP, MS Access, and MS Excel.
  • Record defects on tag/follower attached to unit/components and returns unit to QA for rejection.
  • Clean machines and work area at the end of every shift.

Requirements:

  • High School and/or a post-secondary education in mechanics, electrical, or certificate in related studies preferred.
  • Good English comprehension preferred.
  • WHMIS and Safety Worker Awareness Training an asset.
