Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Refinish Specialist to join our team at JB Michor Inc.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled technician to work on various vehicles, repairing and refinishing body components, doors, and frames. As an Automotive Refinish Specialist, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining your workspace, using specialized tools and equipment to achieve high-quality results.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain work space to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
  • Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame and underbody components with precision and attention to detail
  • File, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, achieving smooth and even finishes
  • Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, ensuring accurate color matching
  • Hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers, demonstrating manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
  • Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolt or weld replacement parts into place, showcasing mechanical aptitude
  • Apply primers and repaint surfaces, adhering to industry standards and quality control measures
  • Repair or replace interior components, including upholstery, dashboard, and trim
  • Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs, demonstrating expertise in glasswork and sealing techniques
  • Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams, displaying proficiency in material repair and finishing
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in automotive body repair and refinishing an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Estimate Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
