Microbiology Specialist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at LifeLabs, Canada's leading provider of laboratory diagnostic information and digital health connectivity systems.

As a Microbiology Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting. Your expertise will contribute to patient well-being and the achievement of better health outcomes.

You will work in a collaborative environment with our team of over 6,000 professionals, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive excellence in laboratory testing.

In this Regular Part Time role, you will have the opportunity to teach our college and university student placements, further developing your skills and expertise.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing.
  • Assisting with the evaluation and implementation of new technology.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality assurance standards.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office products, as well as laboratory analyzers.

  • An estimated salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
