About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer Coordinator to join our team at Magna International Inc. in Mississauga, ONTARIO, CA, L5N 1V2. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for championing the design, build, and development of assembly/stamping processes required to assemble various components and assemblies in the chassis/BIW commodity groups for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handles projects from inception to completion with moderate follow-up by leadership.
  • Conducts appropriate Manpower efficiency studies.
  • Prepares reports, charts, and other documentation required for engineering records and projects.
  • Works with all departments and customers to design solutions that improve production efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and maintenance-related issues.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives and contributes to new ideas.
  • Reviews, monitors, and co-ordinates tooling design, build, approval process, and capital budgets.
  • Supervises equipment relocation and installation to MBCM.
  • Assists in setting up preventative maintenance programs for new equipment.
  • Assists in resolving quality concerns and supports fast response open issues related to the engineering department.
  • Reviews, co-ordinates, and implements all customer-approved engineering changes.
  • Interfaces with production departments, customers, and vendors to design packaging solutions to improve production planning, efficiency, ergonomic design, and economic viability of our operation.
  • Reviews, monitors, and co-ordinates custom packaging design, build, approval process, and capital budgets.
  • Updates and documents current plant layouts.
  • Supports new business quoting process with packaging recommendations.
  • Supports activities for successful attainment of PPAP.
