Caregiver for Senior Citizens

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Caregiver to join our team at Chartwell Villa Saguenay. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our senior citizens.

About the Job

• Type: Permanent full-time
• Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
• Language of work: English

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, including restocking supplies as needed
• Respond to call signals and provide assistance as required
• Administer first aid in emergency situations
• Participate in training programs to maintain certification in CPR and Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP)

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. health sciences) or equivalent experience
• 1-2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably with seniors
• Certification in CPR and MPSP is an asset
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
