Sales Engineer Position Overview

Located in Edmonton, AB, Scarborough, ON or Calgary, AB, we are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our Alfa Laval team. This role offers a challenging opportunity to drive sales growth and build strong relationships with customers in the energy industry.

As a highly skilled Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing value-based quotes, and providing exceptional customer service. You will work closely with our experienced sales team leaders to analyze market insights and understand customer buying behavior.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science/Engineering or Engineering Technologist diploma, with 3-10 years of experience in sales/sales engineering in the targeted industry segments. Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to build relationships and collaborate within a global organization, are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell Alfa Laval's energy solutions to assigned accounts and industry segments.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop value-based quotes and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with the sales team leaders to achieve business division strategy and targets.
  • Collaborate with other team members to support sales process and follow-up on opportunities.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Applied Science/Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist diploma, with preference for Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum disciplines.

Experience: 3-10 years post-education in sales/sales engineering experience in targeted industry segments.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of heat transfer products and applications in the targeted segments.
