Job Title: Inventory Control Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of staff responsible for inventory and quality control operations at the Winnipeg Logistics Service Centre. The successful candidate will oversee daily reports, cycle count tracking, and be accountable for adjustments as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily reports and cycle count tracking
  • Responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking attendance for payroll purposes
  • Oversee and manage the inventory control team
  • Accountable for label negotiations, ordering, and invoicing
  • Responsible for seasonal and sealift/winter road, last in first out (LIFO), and seasonal reports
  • Create and review SOPs for new and existing processes within the department
  • Assist with annual inventory reporting
  • Liaise between Congebec and NWC
  • Responsible for petty cash, ATM, and banking reconciliation for the WLSC
  • Maintain positive relationships with new and existing suppliers with the ability to negotiate
  • Liaise with Store Connect and assist when inventory-related issues arise
  • Support the Manager, Inventory Control with the flow of day-to-day tasks

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and knowledge in Access and Impromptu reporting
  • Supervisory experience required and/or proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team for continual improvement and experience in delegating and task assignment
  • Knowledgeable in navigating through Warehouse Management Systems or other similar programs
  • Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service
  • Ability to solve problems and think critically
  • Must be detail-conscious while demonstrating a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently to complete responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to deal with employee concerns in a professional and confidential manner
