Job Title: Executive Chef

Le Petit Chef is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation and presentation, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency in every dish.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Source and procure high-quality ingredients, managing inventory and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to create innovative and engaging dining experiences that exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste.
  • Stay up-to-date with culinary trends, techniques, and best practices, applying this knowledge to continuously improve our menu offerings and kitchen operations.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
