About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Manager I to join our team of trusted audit professionals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide strategic guidance and independent oversight across all businesses within the Bank. As an Audit Manager I, you will be responsible for planning and executing end-to-end audits based on established audit plans, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulatory guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Audit Planning: Lead the planning process for assigned audits, ensuring completion of appropriate programs and risk assessment to mitigate risks and improve effectiveness across the business.
  • Audit Execution: Provide expertise in planning and executing end-to-end audits, ensuring adherence to internal controls and professional audit standards.
  • Reporting and Communication: Support the audit opinion by presenting findings and recommendations to clients and audit management, ensuring effective communication and follow-up on new findings.
  • Risk Identification: Identify failures in internal processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiencies, staying knowledgeable about emerging trends and developments related to business, analytical tools, and techniques.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Act with the highest levels of integrity, observing regulatory guidelines, fulfilling due diligence, and handling confidential information with discretion. Build a fair and positive work environment, fostering open communication and collaboration among team members.

Requirements and Qualifications:



  • Experience: Over 5 years of relevant experience with an undergraduate degree or relevant professional certifications, accounting designations, or equivalent education (CPA, CFA, and/or CIA preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Hands-on knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) and Internet applications, with a strong asset in capital management and stress testing.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience/exposure in financial institutions/banks an asset, with proficiency to work multi-functionally, providing guidance to other team members, and ensuring good relations across teams and functions.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication (written and verbal) skills to interact clearly and effectively in a fast-changing environment.

Total Rewards Package:


We offer a competitive salary range of $76,800 - $115,200 CAD, plus variable compensation and a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes health and well-being benefits, savings and retirement programs, paid time off, banking benefits, discounts, career development opportunities, and reward and recognition programs.
